Dear All,
September works for me – as the time when I finish my posting at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London.
I am going home, to Romania, where my son Tudor starts high-school and where I take a six months’ sabbatical before I return to new work.
I shall certainly miss the intensity and exhilaration of my three years here, full of extraordinary meetings of people & cultures. You, the Audience, have been an essential partner in this journey: by taking part in our events, you have shown us the way forward. Thank you!
There is more to come from the Romanian Cultural Institute: our events are lined up through to December and beyond – and, despite financial restrictions, we believe we can still help Romanian arts happen in many places across the UK. We have borrowed as our strapline the Ruskin quote on the statue in Belgrave Square: When we build, let us think we build for ever.
Yours,
Gabriela Massaci
